Sunita Nahar loves writing stories that help children to understand the world in which they live in and occasionally make them laugh. Sunita is a former BBC Kolkata correspondent and has presented news and current affairs programmes on the BBC World Service. In her spare time, she volunteers in schools where she helps children who struggle to read as part of the Beanstalk programme. Her debut picture books are Mahitha and the Dragon, illustrated by Jake Alexander (Tate) and Little Ghost Goes Boo! (HarperCollins), illustrated by Nancy Leschnikoff which will be published in August 2026.
